How will these herbs help my skin?
Licorice Root opens your pores, providing a soothing, gentle botanical emollient. Relaxing Lavender buds are an astringent, anti-inflammatory & anti-bacterial herb, beneficial for both dry & oily skin types. Rose is a healing, nourishing & gentle astringent. Refreshing Mint helps remove toxins & impurities. Chamomile & Calendula Flowers are both relaxing & supremely healing.

To use, simmer the herbs for 3 minutes in a covered saucepan. Let it cool 5+ minutes with the lid on. Carefully bring the pot to a table. Make a tent over the pot with a bath towel like a mini steam room. Start with a clean face, and hover over the steaming pot at least 8 inches away with your eyes closed. If it's too hot open a vent to let some of the steam out and move you face a bit farther away from the steam. Breathe deeply, relaxing for 5-15 minutes.

If this whole production seems daunting, but you'd like the benefits of a facial steam, soak a wash cloth in the herbal brew & place on your face for a few minutes & repeat. Just be sure to let the cloth cool to a safe temperature before placing it on your face.
