The added moisture helps achieve an even application and follow with moisturizer. This serum will enhance your moisturizer's therapeutic, emollient properties. For oilier skin try using the serum in place of moisturizer for day time.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation as the serum works to clarify your pores. This is normal and will dissipate after a minute or two and lessen after a few days of consistent use of the product. To me, this tingle feels good, as it cleans out my pores, but you need to be the judge of what is appropriate for your skin.
